Peach Classic Announces Changes for 2010
The Investors Group Peach Classic Triathlon will see some big changes in 2010.
A Sprint distance has been added to the Olympic distance event which will enable athletes who prefer a shorter distance event and younger athletes from 16-17 years of age to participate. Current regulations only allow athletes 18 and over to participate in an Olympic distance event. More Sprint Course info >
Also, the run course to the West Bench and back has been changed to a loop course along Lakeshore and Riverside drives, then along Westminster to Power and Churchill Streets where the turnaround will be located, then back along the same course. Olympic distance athletes will do 2 loops or 10 km, while Sprint distance athletes will do one loop or 5 km.
The race has been named as the BC PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIPS for 2010 for Olympic distance triathlon events. More Olympic Course Info >
Online entries are available at www.peachclassic.com/registration or you can pick up entry forms at the Bike Barn or Peach City Runners & Nordic Ski in Penticton.
