I Need Volunteers!
Anyone out there bringing family members to the race that want to volunteer? I need volunteers for traffic, barricades, and other small jobs. We could really use your help! Please call me or email if you can help! Thanks.

Roll Registration due to fires?
Hi! I was really looking forward to doing your race this year but was staying in Westbank at my brothers. I was unable to make it to the race as the road was closed due to the fires. I am wondering if I can roll my registration forward and try again next year? I would love to try to fit it in next year.

Race Results Query
Hello, I am trying to compare this past race (2008) with the 2007 one. The results for 2008 are really detailed but the 2007 results seem to have included the transition times with either the swim, bike or run splits. Does anyone know how the times from last year were recorded? aka Swim+T1, T2+run, or T1+bike+T2.. thanks…. Great event this weekend, thoroughly enjoyed it!!

Missing Nineteen Wetsuit
Since the race, I am missing a size medium nineteen wetsuit, women’s in black. It is a rental wetsuit from a store in Vancouver. If you have seen it, please let me know! I was number 201, if that helps, in terms of numbers near me!

Package Pick-up
I am working until 6:30 on Saturday. Is there another time I can pick up the Registration package than 2 – 5 as I can’t get there. Could one of my parents pick it up? Thanks. Karl

Hope that helps. Happy racing!
Hi Barb, in regards to your question I don’t think there is really a 3 stage outfit that you can wear for the race. The swim definitely requires a wetsuit. The pros and many other athletes do wear a bike/run suit under their wetsuit so they are doing minimal changing after the swim. In the past I have worn my cycling/running jersey and shorts under my wet suit. It’s all personal choice stuff. In shorter races time is more important I guess vs an Ironman race . . . unless you are very competitive. My personal opinion but I would recommend a full wet suit . . .you never know what the water temp is going to be on race day! Having a full suit also gives you the ability to do races earlier and later in the year. I have known numerous people that have bought shorties and then wished they had the long sleeves. Again, personal choice. Hope that helps! Happy racing.

Novices at this!
My husband is a distance runner who has just registered for his first Try-a-Tri in Ottawa. He is planning to just rent a wetsuit; however, I would like to purchase one for him and was wondering whether there was such an item as a suit that can be worn for all 3 stages of the event. If not, what would be best to buy? Short-sleeved? Short-legs? Will the short legs still keep his biking/running shorts dry? You can see we are novices at this! Hope you can help.
